Paul Brunton
Sculptor
New Zealand
Paul Brunton works in wood, bronze, stone, and steel — transforming raw material into sculptural form that endures. Each piece is a dialogue between artist, medium, and the unseen forces that shape us.
There are things the human voice cannot express — only the hands can reach them. Paul Brunton has spent decades finding those things in stone and metal, coaxing forms that carry weight, silence, and meaning.
His work spans public commissions, intimate gallery pieces, and ongoing explorations in the workshop. It is sculpture that asks to be stood beside, not merely viewed — work that changes with the light and with the years.
About PaulThe studio is where silence and intention meet. Every piece begins not with a tool, but with hours of looking — at the material, at its grain and weight and resistance — until the form reveals itself from within.
Paul works primarily in bronze casting, direct stone carving, and fabricated steel. He welcomes studio visits by appointment for collectors, collaborators, and the genuinely curious.
